Innovation Lives Here

We create and support software that didn’t exist

Starting in 1999, we were in The Cloud way before The Cloud was cool.  We are used to being innovators, creating software with requests from our clients.  We also do industry firsts, like in 2004 when we invented the alcohol industry’s first web-based Point of Sale (POS) system.  Back then, everyone laughed.  Now, they’re doing something else.

See our innovations below, and know that 20+ years in, we are only getting started.

PAUL THIENES: Founder & CEO

It all started in the Midwest. Paul grew up loving nature and data in Minnesota. A Computer Science degree from Hamline University and a Masters in Business from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul started a corporate career at MCI Telecommunications.

Paul found his way to the Napa Valley during the dotcom boom of the late 90’s and created a first-of-its-kind, web-based cash register solution for the wine industry in 2004. He founded eCellar 20 years ago in Calistoga and has been innovating data solutions for wineries ever since. He loves an excellent Pinot Noir served with cheese and a beautiful view. When he’s not busy with data and his clients, he enjoys traveling, playing piano and skiing with his 2 kids.
